Hospital Visitation Day
The Kansas Shrine Bowl hospital visitation day is one of the most rewarding parts of participation in the Kansas Shrine Bowl. Traditionally, the players have visited the hospital in St. Louis but in 2011 a new twist to the day was installed. In an effort to involve more people and to send even more funds to the hospitals, the KSB brought the hospital to Kansas. The event turned out to be extremely successful and will be repeated in 2012.
The visitation day in 2012 will take place at the Emporia State Student Union on Thursday, July 26th beginning at 10 AM. For the first time ever, all participants (football, cheer, cross country and band) will have the opportunity to participate in the eye opening event. The general public is even invited to attend at a cost of $10 to cover your lunch.
